The 3M™ Chest System from Imation™ delivers high contrast and high resolution in the lung field with excellent detail in the mediastinum by combining the diagnostic capabilities of green and ultraviolet emulsion/screen systems into one sheet of film. This innovative technology gives radiologists who need more diagnostic information in the thoracic area, but need to use existing equipment, a high-quality, reliable alternative to new X-ray devices. The Imation™ Chest System is comprised of 3M™ Trimax™ GCA Plus Medical Imaging Film, Chest System Cassettes and 3M™ Trimax™ Screens from Imation™.

Image Quality:

The front ultraviolet screen/emulsion system is a high-contrast, low-speed system that records information in the lungs. The back green screen/emulsion system is a low-contrast, high-speed system to penetrate and record information in the mediastinum. The system's Imation™ Trimax GCA Plus Medical Imaging Film can be processed in standard chemistry (90-second cycles) for consistent, reliable, high-quality results.

Cost Savings:

Since many hospitals cannot afford new X-ray devices that provide better thoracic images, the Chest System offers a cost-effective alternative for existing X-ray machines. Trimax GCA Plus Medical Imaging Film is available in 14" x 17" sheets.
